01How to request deletion

1. Email [email protected] with the subject "Data deletion request", or send DELETE MY DATA on WhatsApp to +264 81 427 6567 from the number you used with us.
2. Tell us your name, the email address or phone number you used, and which product or service it relates to (for example, Simple POS or WhatsApp messaging).
3. We'll confirm we've received your request. We may ask a question to check it's really you.

02What happens next

We delete your personal information from our active systems within 30 days of confirming your request, and we tell you when it's done. Copies in backups are deleted as those backups are routinely replaced.

03What we may need to keep

We may keep a limited amount of information where the law requires it, such as invoices and transaction records for tax purposes, or where we need it to resolve a dispute or prevent fraud. We'll tell you if this applies. We may also keep information that has been fully anonymised so that it no longer identifies you.

04WhatsApp conversations

Deleting a chat on your phone only removes it from your device. It doesn't delete our copy. To remove our copy, send a request as described above. WhatsApp and Meta keep their own data about your account, which is covered by WhatsApp's privacy policy and your WhatsApp settings.

05Systems we run for other organisations

If your information is in a system we operate for another organisation, for example a business's WhatsApp account or an organisation's internal system, that organisation controls your data. Please contact them directly. If you contact us instead, we'll pass your request on and help them act on it.
